As the saying instructs, I am getting out of the kitchen this Friday night and have cancelled Them Dinners for the first time ever. Summer has conspired to give us a 98 degree Friday, with temperatures not dipping below 80 before 2am. And it gets worse than just unbearable travel for my guests: I don’t have AC but for a little window unit in my bedroom. Beholden to the whims of weather, and not wanting to give my guests a case of heat stroke, I emailed everyone just now suggesting we live to pig out another day. Hopefully you’re somewhere with lavish amounts of central air, and can enjoy one or more of these other pizza suggestions by my friends:
  1. Strawberry, balsamic drizzle, bacon.Suggested by Them Dinners guest Katie, Annie Eatsrecipe
  2. Sweet Potato and Kale with Rosemary and Onion. Suggested in by Them Dinners guestCorrin,Two Peas and Their Podrecipe
  3. Black & tan BBQ chicken w/dark beer BBQ and lager marinated chicken. Suggested by Them Dinners guest Mo
  4. Asparagus, Goat Cheese, and Prosciutto-Suggested in by Them Dinners guestChristina,Williams and Sonoma recipe
  5. “Miss You Corny [Pizza] - (an ode to anyone who has ever taught students in Philly) roasted summer corn, red onion, feta, tomato, pestoSophie, via Facebook
  6. “Philly cheesesteak pizza? You’ll either need a thick and hearty crust, or a thin and extremely crispy curst for it, however.”Jean, via Facebook
